八王子古本まつり第21回
年2回春と秋に八王子駅北口の商店街・ユーロードで開催される、八王子古本まつり。2009年秋の初回からイベント企画とヴィジュアルデザインに関わり続けている。古本を取り扱いながら、開催ごとにテーマを設けて、トークイベントや特設ブースを構えるのが、八王子古本まつりの特長。第21回となる本回の開催で、ついに10周年を迎えた。第21回のテーマである「謎」にちなんで、紙面上には、まさに謎めいたイラストレーションをドローイング。それぞれのイラストレーションに特段の意味やメッセージ性はなく、ただひたすら謎に徹した。
Hachioji Used-Book Festival has been holding on You-Road, a shopping street near the north gate of Hachioji Station in spring and autumn every year. We’ve been taking part in the festival to plan the programs and design the poster and flyer. This festival finally marked its 10th anniversary. The theme of the 21th was NAZO meaning riddle, mystery, enigma or hint. I drew some mysterious illustrations on the poster and flyer. Each illustrations have no meaning and strong messages—it’s very much a mystery!
